Peter joined Rural Livestock in October 2016 as a dedicated Dairy agent. Having spent 20 years dairy farming in the Otago region. Peter sold his farm in 2008 and went Farm consulting until he joined the team at Rural Livestock.

Born and bred in Otago, and originally from the Maniototo but having lived on the Taieri now for 30 years. Peter is married to Virginia and has four children aged 16, 18, 20 & 22.

Based in Otago Peter always had an idea of being a stock agent since he was little, growing up on the farm in the Maniototo. It did take a while to jump at the chance but has thoroughly enjoyed being an agent the past six years primarily dealing mainly in dairy stock.

Peter is a member of the local Taieri Lions club and is a committee member of Otago/Taieri A & P. Outside of work Peter's interests include rugby, duck shooting, fishing, reading and pottering round on his 30-acre lifestyle property.

Peter enjoys working in a great team and supporting the rest of the Rural Livestock team during busy times. He values honesty where he believes good news travel fast but bad news travels faster. A favourite quote of Peter's is "if you say you are going to do something, then deliver on your promise. Being punctual and accurate with all paperwork is equally essential.
