George grew up in the small Southland town of Drummond on a Sheep farm. Rearing up to 700 Calves, before heading to Christchurch for secondary school. After George finished school, he spent two years on deep sea fishing trawlers.
An injury cut this career short before he moved overseas. George spent time in London and Sydney working across finance and property development, working with internationally recognised companies.
After eight years George was over the big city life and decided it was time to move home to Southland where he lives near Otautau with his fiance Alice and dog Bolt, with a few sheep for weekend work.
The family farm had been sold years earlier and George was approached for a stock agent role with PWA. George spent 18 months with PWA, training in Dairy, Sheep and Beef.
George is enjoying his time with Rural Livestock and has clients all over Southland. He is thoroughly enjoying the working environment, as well as the comradeship and helpfulness of his fellow team members.
Outside of being an agent George has played senior rugby for Midlands for the past three seasons, winning a title and making good mates along the way. When George has the time, he is out there trying to catch fish, or hunting for ducks and deer.
