Morgan is a born and bred Gore local. He has always worked on farms during school holidays or any downtime in his rugby career. More recently during covid he rediscovered his love of farming so when his rugby coach, Rural Livestock agent AJ Aitken, asked him to tag along for the day he jumped as the chance and hasn't looked back since.

Outside of work Morgan is proud to represent the Southland province as part of the Mitre 10 Cup Southland Stags team. He has also played professionally in Canada, Japan and the USA. Morgan enjoys spending time with his family, coffee, food, meeting new people and horse racing.
